Angelos H. Kotios

Vice Chancellor

Angelos H. Kotios is Professor Emeritus of International and European Economics and Development Policy at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus. He holds a degree in Economics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a PhD from the University of Tübingen in Germany, awarded with the distinction magna cum laude.

He has extensive academic, research, and administrative experience in higher education. He served as Professor at both the University of Thessaly and the University of Piraeus, while also holding positions such as Vice Chancellor of the University of Thessaly, Dean of the School of Economics, Business and International Studies, and Chancellor of the University of Piraeus.

His academic and scholarly work focuses on international and European economic and development policies, European integration, international economic relations, regional development, economic crises, and European Union policies. He has authored and edited monographs, books, and more than 100 scientific articles in Greek, English, and German. In addition, he has taught courses related to international and European economic policy, economic policy, EU cohesion policy, European project management, and international economic crises.
